How to Play Poker

Poker

In Poker, the highest hand is called a flush. A flush consists of five cards of the same suit. The higher of the two pair wins. However, in many cases, ties will happen. When this happens, the highest card wins. For instance, if two players have the same high card, the second highest hand wins. In some cases, the high card breaks a tie. Similarly, if there are multiple people with the same high hand, a straight will win.

In poker, each player is dealt a deck of 52 cards. The cards are dealt face-up. If two players have the same high hand, they may exchange their cards. In such a case, the dealer will cut the deck and give each player five cards. This player then passes the turn to the player on his or her right. This means that all players must take turns in dealing out the cards. The dealer is not permitted to play before all players have been dealt their hands.

The cards are compared to find the best hand. A pair is a hand that has two cards of the same rank. When comparing two pairs, the higher pair will win. For example, a pair of jacks will win over a pair of tens. However, if two pairs are equal, then lower pair will win. In other words, a pair of fours beats a pair of tens.
